What’s your name?

How old are you?
I’m eighteen! My birthday is in December. I’m a sagittarius by sun and a pisces by moon.
Describe yourself.
I’m a lifelong Disney and Pixar fan, and I’m determined to work in the business of filmmaking and entertainment. I’m only slightly obsessed with biographies of the Nine Old Men.
Do you live near a Disney park?
No, sadly! I live in New Jersey, but I’m planning on going to college near Disneyland and hopefully working in the park.
What made you so interested in Disney?
I grew up with two older sisters who had been obsessed with Disney animated films from the moment they could watch them. They had both picked their favorite princesses that they identified with. Christina had Ariel, and Laura had Belle. I watched every Disney VHS we owned over and over until I decided I was most similar to Jasmine. After watching those Disney films so many times I had them memorized, I decided to branch out and watch as many Disney films as I could. I was watching documentaries about Walt from the age of six, and the obsession never faded!
What is your favorite Disney movie?
My favorite (recent) animated film from Disney is Meet the Robinsons. My favorite Pixar film is Ratatouille.
What is your favorite thing about Disney?
That’s the most difficult question ever, but I love the huge presence it’s become in humanity. Walt never knew his company would become the empire it is, but I’m sure he’d be proud of how far it’s come and the way his legacy is upholding his image and his belief in the importance of family and friends. A lot of people criticize the Disney empire for a lot of reasons, but if you look at the parks and the films you’ll see Walt. You can see Walt when you visit any attraction in a Disney park, and you can feel Walt when you watch one of their films. He’s still here!
Which parks have you been to?
I’ve been to Disneyland twice and Walt Disney World once.
Favorite attractions/shows in the parks?
I love the three big mountains, I’m a total thrill-seeker. I also love The Haunted Mansion (during all seasons!) and Peter Pan’s Flight. My favorite show is World of Color, and my favorite place in the parks is the Animation Building in DCA.
